Let's Learn Korean (Hangeul) Part 2

Hello everybody! Sorry for the late post.. :) In part 2, I'll tell you how to make a sentence in Korean.. So, let's check it out! ^^

English sentence => Subject + Verb + Object + Description (time, place, etc)
Korean sentence => Subject + Description + Object + Verb

So, if in English we have sentence like "EunHyuk eats rice in restaurant", we'll change it to "EunHyuk in restaurant rice eats".

EXAMPLE!!
English sentence => LeeTeuk studying Korean in school
S V O D
Korean sentence => LeeTeuk in school Korean studying
S D O V
이특.. 학교.. 한극어.. 공부하다..
Note :
학교 = school
한국어 = Korean
공부하다 = study

Don't forget about this to make the sentence complete!!
1. Always add "는" (if the last alphabet is vocal) or "은" (if the last alphabet is consonant) in Subject.
Example : I => 나 + 는 = 나는, You => 너 + 는 = 너는, LeeTeuk => 이특 + 은 = 이특은
2. Always add "를" (if the last alphabet is vocal) or "을" (if the last alphabet is consonant) in Object
Example : Me => 나 + 를 = 나를, Book => 책 + 을 = 책을, Korean => 한국어 + 를 = 한국어를
3. Always add "에서" which means "in" in Place Description
Example : in Restaurant => 식당 + 에서 = 식당에서, in house => 집 + 에서 = 집에서, in school => 학교 + 에서 = 학교에서
4. For the Verb, just change "다" in Verb with "~ㅂ니다"
Example : Love => 사랑하다 = 사랑합니다, Go => 가다 = 갑니다, Study => 공부하다 = 공부합니다

So, to final sentence is 이특은 학교에서 한국어를 공부합니다

ANOTHER EXAMPLE!!
English Sentence => I cook samgyeopsal in kitchen
S V O D
Korean Sentence => I in kitchen samgyeopsal cook
S D O V
나.. 키친.. 삼겹살.. 요리하다..

So, the final sentence is 나는 키친에서 삼겹살을 요리합니다

Let's Learn Korean (Hangeul)

Hi everyone! Finally I can post something new in my blog. ^^
Now I want to share about my new segment "Let's Learn Korean"! Who's excited? *everyone : no one!*
For the first post, I'll tell you about Hangeul (Korean Character). So, let's check it! :)

Vocal
아 : a
야 : ya
이 : i
우 : oo (u)
유 : yoo (yu)
으 : eu
에 : e
예 : ye
애 : ae
얘 : yae
오 : o
요 : yo
어 : eo
여 : yeo
와 : wa
위 : wi
왜 : wae
웨 : we
워 : wo

Consonant
ㅂ : b/p
ㅃ : bb/pp
ㅍ : ph'
ㅈ : j/c
ㅉ : jj/cc
ㅊ : ch'
ㄷ : d/t
ㄸ : dd/tt
ㅌ : th'
ㄱ : g/k
ㄲ : gg/kk
ㅋ : kh'
ㅅ : s/sh
ㅆ : ss
ㅁ : m
ㄴ : n
ㅇ : ng
ㄹ : r/l
ㅎ : h

To combine the consonant and vocal characters, just replace the "ㅇ" in the vocal character with the consonant character
Example :
=> ㅎ(h) + 애(ae) = 해(hae)
=> ㅅ(s) + 우(oo) = 수(soo)
=> ㄹ(r) + 여(yeo) = 려(ryeo)

If we have a words which is the vocal mmust writen first before the consonant, just put the consonant under the vocal
Example :
=> 으(eu) + ㄴ(n) = 은(eun)
=> 워(wo) + ㄴ(n) = 원(won)
=> ㅌ(th') + 으(eu) + ㄱ(k) = 특(teuk)

So, if we want to write "annyeong haseyo", it'll be 안녕 하세요!

Next part, I'll tell you how to make a sentence in Korean! But, I can't tell you the fixed date when I'll post the next part! Hope this will help you to understand Korean little by little. Just ask if you still don't understand and I'll explain it for you. Or, if you want a faster reply from me about this lesson, you can mention and ask me in twitter (@SelLeeTeuk_ELF)..

감사합니다!! ^^
